1. Material Type
Disposable bed sheet rolls are made from different non-woven or plastic materials. The choice depends on comfort, durability, and hygiene requirements:
PP (Polypropylene) Non-woven:
Lightweight, breathable, and soft.
Suitable for hospitals, clinics, and massage centers.
SMS Non-woven (Spunbond + Meltblown + Spunbond):
Stronger and more durable than standard PP.
Used in surgical or medical settings.
PE (Polyethylene) Coated Non-woven:
Waterproof; prevents fluids from penetrating.
Ideal for procedures with liquid exposure.
Spunlace Non-woven:
Soft, cloth-like feel.
Used in beauty salons, spas, and physiotherapy clinics.
2. Size and Dimensions
Width: Standard widths are 60–120 cm. Choose based on bed size:
Single bed: 60–80 cm
Double/queen bed: 100–120 cm
Length per roll: Usually 50–100 meters per roll. Longer rolls reduce the frequency of replacement.
Thickness / GSM (grams per square meter):
15–25 GSM: Lightweight, low-cost, short-term use.
30–50 GSM: Thicker, more durable, better coverage.
3. Roll Core and Dispenser Compatibility
Core diameter: 38 mm (1.5") or 50 mm (2") is common.
Compatibility: Make sure the roll fits your bed roll holder or dispenser system.
4. Surface Properties
Smooth vs textured: Smooth sheets are more comfortable; textured may help prevent slipping.
Color: White is standard; some facilities use colored sheets for different purposes (e.g., clean vs used).
5. Hygiene & Certification
Medical-grade products: Check for ISO, CE, or FDA certification if used in hospitals.
Antimicrobial or hypoallergenic properties: Some sheets include treatments for added protection.
6. Application-Specific Considerations
Medical / hospital beds:
Use waterproof or SMS non-woven for surgery or procedures.
Massage / beauty salons:
Spunlace or soft PP for comfort.
Home care / elderly care:
Lightweight, disposable, easy to replace.
