Materials for disposable lab coat
1. Polypropylene
polypropylene non woven fabric is the most common for Lab coats, the weight can be 20-120g/cm², it’s soft, breathable, and cost effective. This is the material that most disposable lab coats are made of. It’s lightweight and breathable along with its high resistance to absorbing moisture. Polypropylene lab coats are typically used in mostly non-hazardous environments, such as when handling animals or in clean rooms.
2. SMS non woven
It’s tri laminate non woven fabric, it’s made up of a top layer of spunbond polypropylene, a middle layer of meltblown polypropylene and a bottom layer of spunbond polypropylene. The weight can be 25-65g/cm². It’s softer and more durable than PP non woven.
3. Microporous
it’s made of PP non woven coated with Microporous PE film. Waterproof and breathable. It’s primarily used when durability and tear-resistance are of extreme importance, such as against biological hazards or fine particles.
4. Polyethylene
It’s plastic material, can be in different colors. Widely used for dust proof and liquid proof.
